How we roast

Here's how we make our uniquely smooth blends: we start with better beans. Our beans are 100% Arabica and sourced exclusively from Latin America. Once we've sourced the beans, our master blenders create better blends for an easy, approachable taste. We ensure total consistency by insisting on rigorous quality checks throughout the process. We don't just taste the stuff once or even twice. We stop and sample the beans at three crucial steps. From there, we use our special roasting expertise to create a surprisingly smooth taste. All that passion and hard work create an exceptionally smooth cup of coffee that's flavorful and approachable.

How do I store ground coffee?

An opened bag of coffee is highly perishable, just like fresh produce. Store your ground coffee in an airtight container at room temperature for no longer than a week. The trick is to keep it away from oxygen, light, heat, and moisture as much as possible.

How much ground coffee should I use per cup?

The recipe for great coffee is 1 tbsp (5 g) of ground coffee for every 6 fl. oz. (180 mL) of water.

Does my favorite Seattle's Best Coffee have a new look or name?

Yes, we are updating all of our packaging, so, for a limited time, you may receive either the old or new packaging. Some of our coffees are also changing names, but the taste is still as bold and flavorful as SBC has always been.
